Beijing Huixi Technology Co., Ltd., an embodied-AI chip startup, filed for IPO tutoring with the Beijing bureau of the CSRC on October 28, aiming for an initial public offering with CITIC Securities as sponsor, Chinese media including Jiemian News and Gelonghui reported, citing regulatory disclosures. Founded in 2022 and having raised over 2.5 billion yuan this year, the company has taken its first formal step toward going public.

Huixi's founder brings deep chip-industry credentials: CEO Xu Ningyi, a Tsinghua electronic engineering PhD, previously served as chief architect and technology committee chair of Baidu's chip unit. The company started with smart-driving chips and unveiled its Huixi Embodied product line for embodied intelligence at the 2026 World Robot Conference, shifting its focus to the high-throughput chips robots need on-board.
The pace of its fundraising signals how hot the track has become. On October 22, the company said its Pre-B+ and Series B rounds had closed, bringing 2026 equity financing to over 2.5 billion yuan, led by the Beijing AI Industry Investment Fund; on October 26, Shoucheng Holdings disclosed that its fund had invested. The earlier cap table reads like a robotics-industry map: Yuansheng Capital and NIO Capital led the angel round in 2022; Shunwei Capital and Xiaomi Group co-led the angel-plus round in 2023; Agibot is also among the investors.
Embodied-AI compute differs from both autonomous driving and cloud inference: robot platforms impose tighter constraints on power, latency and multi-sensor fusion, with chips closing the perception-decision-control loop on-device. Moving toward the capital market ahead of its volume-production window is straightforward logic — robot shipments are still ramping, and chip vendors need capital and customer lock-in to bridge to scale.
For China's compute landscape, it marks a new layer: GPUs and ASIC startups in the cloud, auto-chip firms at the edge — and now embodied intelligence is growing its own compute suppliers. Whether Huixi becomes the first listed embodied-AI chip stock will depend, after this filing, on its tape-out and deployment schedule.
