Sci-fi IP is becoming a new stage for AI agents. On October 25, at the 2026 Three-Body Day event, AI-native infrastructure provider Infinigence (Wuwen Xinqiong) and Three-Body Universe announced a strategic partnership and unveiled their first joint product — Sophon Agent 1.0, a conversational AI agent with the persona of the Sophon.

1. From Novel Character to Talkable Agent

Sophon Agent 1.0 is modeled on the Sophon, administrator of Universe 637 in the Three-Body saga. It combines three capabilities — worldview knowledge, character expression and conversational memory — supporting multi-turn dialogue and cross-session memory for long-term interaction. The division of labor is clear: Three-Body Universe owns worldview and character craft, extending its cross-media storytelling into AI interaction, while Infinigence provides the underlying Agentic Infra stack.

2. The Engineering Challenge: Persona vs. Accuracy

The hard part of IP agents is keeping a character convincing without letting the model hallucinate the lore. Infinigence builds on a multi-agent coordination architecture, unifying roleplay expressiveness with the precision of worldview knowledge in one system design — a coordination mechanism that balances “sounding like the Sophon” with “getting the canon right”.

Key Facts at a Glance

· Oct 25: Sophon Agent 1.0 unveiled at Three-Body Day 2026

· Character basis: the Sophon, administrator of Universe 637

· Three core capabilities: worldview knowledge, character expression, cross-session memory

· RMB 2.3B: Infinigence's Series C closed Oct 12 (Science and Technology Daily)

3. A Home-Grown Stack Meets a Home-Grown IP

Context matters: on October 12 Infinigence closed a RMB 2.3 billion Series C to scale its Agentic Infra strategy spanning compute, token supply and applications. Sophon Agent is a concrete entertainment-sector validation of that stack — and for Three-Body Universe, it marks the first time China's flagship sci-fi IP officially plugs into a domestic AI infrastructure provider. As model capability ceases to be the only bottleneck, combining IP assets with agent engineering opens a differentiated commercial path for agents: not generic assistants, but “character-grade” agents with a worldview, a persona and a memory.
